The Team
Starting from the noble purpose of expanding the research in the field of earthquake engineering, our goal is to design efficient buildings, regarding this matter, and to protect the lives of those meant to use them. By working within Seismic Design Competition project, we wish to acquire personal development, but also to obtain a remarkable result. Every participation of our university (Technical University of Cluj-Napoca) meant a progress compared to the previous ones, which reached its climax by achieving maximum performance - the 1 st Place in 2014 and 2015.
With his great legacy, we are aware that there is only one objective: to be the best again in 2016! Due to our level of qualification, combined with the enthusiasm with which we approach the project, we believe that 2016 will be the third consecutive year when the TUCN team will attain this performance!

Testimonials
I need only one word to tell you, the reader, what SDC has meant to me.. MEANING .. and one more that sends you to places unsuspected, unheard of and misunderstood by many. I have always been very competitive, and this competition decided to call me too. I accepted it - otherwise these lines would not have existed. I kind of knew what the project itself entailed, but I had no idea what I could become by following its rules.. a prisoner of the SDC workshop, a character in the play (me playing the role of the one in love with the balsa wood model), a world champion.. The latter is not a merit, but the result of the work and 100% dedication of the people with whom I had the honor to work (engineers, architects, teachers). The same blood flowed through the veins of these people for 6 months, and what happened in the SDC 2016 family is already written in history and no one and nothing could erase this history! I won't lie.. I didn't want to study engineering.. But the most important thing I don't regret doing is that it opened my way to this competition! Everything seems to make sense now..
