Design proposal – Top 10!

The submission of the Design Proposal was the first major obstacle for SDC UTCN team.

This is a scientific work that consists of a first structural and architectural proposal of the tower to be tested for earthquakes. The proposal includes a general description of the project, geotechnical conditions, architectural concept, structural description, tower behavior predictions as well as economic considerations.

After a lot of work on this stage, the team managed to send the document in time and the results did not hesitate to appear. Not long ago we learned that we are among the top 10 participating teams (the total of 43), alongside: Aim Shams University (ASU), California State Polytechnic University of Pomona, Cornell University, Stanford University, University of California Berkeley (UCB), University of California Irvine (UCI), University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Colorado Boulder (CUB), University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin).
